Do You “Talk the Talk” or “Walk the Walk”?

They call themselves “Christians”,
but they curse and they shout…
But is this how Christ acted…
and is this what Christianity is about?
They sit on church pews
in their own “Sunday best”…
then go home to pornography…
so is this passing the test?
Many deceive their spouses,
while having extramarital affairs…
then return home to pretend
that they really do care.
Many abuse their families,
emotionally and physically beat…
then talk about God
like they sit at His feet.
So think about what you do…
and think about what you say.
Do you “talk the talk”?
Or do you walk the right way.
For there is a huge difference
it’s superficial to “talk the talk”
versus the deeper relationship
with God to “walk the walk”.

  1. Through The Up & Down and all the Judgement and the Misunderstanding , The Talk ,The Walk ,At The End Of The Tunnel, One May Finally Stand….. and Never Return..
But Still .. Forward and Forward.

    • Amen. Thanks Pastor George and Pastor Sharon for both of your support. I was not sure how well that posting would be received but it is true. Talk is too easy. Many blessings to you both.

  2. That was good. Yesterday this guy with dozens of Jesus stickers on his car, cut us off at the gas pump and then proceeded to curse out the clerk and whack the gas pump. My husband with his dry sense of humor said, “just imagine what he’d be like if he wasn’t a Christian.” It made me laugh, but that’s a good point.

    • LOL… So true. It happens all of the time… people with “crosses” hanging in their necks while abusing their spouse or committing adultery; others partying, getting drunk and high on Saturday then sitting in church on Sunday. We are each to develop our own relationship with God and we are not to judge others… but it is something for us all to ask ourselves… do we talk the talk or walk the walk. Jesus set the example. Thanks for your support.

  3. I am a Christian don’t get me wrong I also have been known to say a curse word or two but I am the same on Sunday as I am on Monday. No better or worse still a sinner trying to live for the Lord and Love my neighbor. None of us are perfect not even close for we all fall short in the end.

    • Hi Deena! Yes, none of us are perfect. We all fall short of the Glory of God. We all also have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. We each have our own relationship with God and only He knows what is hidden in the depths of each heart. It is a question for us all to ask ourselves. Christ set the example. Let us all self-reflect on where are are in our relationship with Him. Thanks for commenting and many blessings to you!

  4. This is a very good piece of work, thank you for posting this, I like it a lot and I totally agree with the message.
