MARRIAGE: A Three-Stranded Cord

A MARRIAGE:

The joining of two people,
a woman and a man.
Starting a new life together,
walking hand in hand.

Happy and joyous,
should be their Wedding day.
But just how many,
stay that way?

Are they really happy,
or is it only a show?
Is one of them pretending,
and the other doesn’t know.

Lies and deceit,
it is not really fair.
To the one who is truthful,
and really does care.

Why does this happen?
Is it for money or fame?
Whatever the reason,
it’s a sin and a shame.

SO, true love is patient,
true love is kind.
A good marriage is one,
with these you’ll find.

The strongest marriage,
is not with two but three.
Putting GOD in the middle,
the strongest kind it will be.

‘Cause, a three stranded chord,
is hard to break.
And this is so important,
when a marriage is at stake.

BIBLE VERSES FOR A GOOD MARRIAGE:
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12 NIV)

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
(1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV)

“Husbands, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life.” (1 Peter 3:7 NKJV)
