Endless Love… It’s what we all want!

Well, I guess my topic for today is LOVE…. This song has been playing in my head since last night.

Endless Love… It’s what we all want.

Every person wants to have that feeling of being loved and being cherished. Everyone longs to have that perfect soul-mate where they are perfectly compatible and totally, completely happy together. The problem is that in our desire to find that “perfect, endless love” we look around, search around, and open our hearts and souls to others who are not right for us and only cause more invisible wounds to us. We need to realize that when people hurt us or when our hearts get broken, then our view of things become distorted. We begin to look at things through wounded eyes with the hurts and pains of our past affecting our decisions in our future. We fail to realize  in our haste that God is the only One who knows each heart. He is the only One who can orchestrate that perfect, endless love… first with Him then with the person who He has prepared for you. God’s love is perfect. God’s love is endless. To find that perfect love, you should have to find each other through God. Remember, a three-stranded cord is not easily broken.

  1. For another take on love in musical form, try Bruce Cockburn’s “Lovers in a Dangerous Time.” It isn’t about romantic love but about the agape love we are called to give to the world, so not really connected to what you wrote here.
This is an excellent post, wise advice. Caution is important in things like this, and it is so hard to be cautious just when we need to the most.
