Poem: Tour of Violence (2 Chronicles 7:14)

In memory of 9/11, we’ll take a little a tour.
A visual depiction of violence going from shore to shore.
First goes the USA,
with reminders of that day.

Then across our land,
with violence at hands of man.

Then to Ethiopia and Rwanda we travel,
where bride kidnapping and rape unravels.

Next we travel to Bangladesh and Brazil,
where it is acceptable to “honor kill.”

Then we go to Pakistan,
with bride burning across their land.

Next we go to Afghanistan,
where acid attacks plague their land.

Then our trip to Africa is expected,
where female genital mutilation is accepted.

Then we’ll see Russia, Belarus and Ukraine,
who have major human trafficking fame.

Then we’ll go to Syria,
with it’s own country causing hysteria.

So as we get a glimpse of all the abuses,

we realize we have long been reclusive.

Finally, as we fly back home to the USA,
we realize we need to speak out about these abuses today.

World-wide problems are occurring with so much violence.

We all need to get together in prayer and stop the silence.

For the Bible says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Prayer: Lord, please turn hearts around the world to you. Expose the deceptions that occur with governments and terrorists and protect the innocent victims from the abuses of this world. I pray that laws will change to protect the innocent and that international coalitions will be started to reach out to victims around the world. Lord, heal the land around this world… in Jesus’ name… Amen!

This is actually a tribute to the plight of innocent victims around the world. It takes compassion for those hurting and suffering in order to initiate a change. Please join me in praying for these people around the world, that they will find the “Peace” that is needed across every land…
