As I prayed Sunday morning, these were the thoughts that came to me about Job:
Have you ever felt like Job?
If you are not sure:
Have you ever been an innocent victim?
Have you ever felt like you have lost everything?
Have you ever been blamed and criticized for things that you did not do?
Have you ever suffered the consequences of someone’s plan of destruction for you?
Well, if you have experienced these, then you can probably understand at least some of how Job felt as he suddenly, out of no fault of his own, lost so much and wondered why he had to go through that period of suffering. Yes, he was down. Yes, he was depressed. Yes, he cried out to God. But he also proclaimed…
“I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.” Job 19:25
…and God restored all that Job had lost.
So those of you who feel like Job, just keep praising God… for like Job, it all may just be a test.

Yea I do feel like Job at times…I lost a lot in y life, material things, family friends, but I’m staying true to God and know that All things work together for the good….so patience mixed with endurance is what I’m exercising and allowing God to work in my life.

Job, to me, is truly one of the heroes of faith in scripture. His focus was on his relationship with God, and that focus was what made his life work until God granted satan permission to destroy Job’s life but not to let Job die physically. Pastor G and I have experienced extreme hardship and loss, and we cling to our relationship with God above all else. Like scripture promises in Romans 8:28, God makes all things, good and bad, work together for our good. We are sometimes truly amazed to see how He does things. We know our Redeemer lives.
One more thing we learned from Job’s story. That many more in the Old Testament other than David and Abraham knew that God, and Jesus is God, is our redeemer and that there is more to life than the physical.
Amen… So true. Intimacy with God is a Key to walking in His favor and walking in faith. Thanks so much for your support Pastor Sharon!!!

I praise Jehovah for putting me through the Job moments for it is in the furnace and on the potters wheel that we become the children He wanrs us to be.

Amen.. I have repeatedly said that it was only through the abuses and my brokenness when I felt that I had nothing left that I let go and was catapulted into our Loving Father’s Arms. Yes, it is those Job moments that are turning points in our relationship with our Father God.

He is in there, and the way to experience Him is often by breaking Him free, separating Him from all the carnal tethers that are holding us in bondage to this life of death which deceives us, tricks us into accepting it as “Life” where as it is death. His breaking is for our well being, for it is a well which can quench the thirst of the dry and parched soul. MAO
