Be Transformed…

Be transformed…
is the word for today.
By renewing our mind…
which changes what we do and say.
For a new year dawns…
and the darkness must flee.
As we let God transform us…
so we can clearly see.
Letting go of this world…
is definitely a key.
And holding onto Him…
a transformation will be.

Romans 12: 1-2

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

  1. Just as Jesus ” emptied Himself, and humbled Himself” by being obedient to the point of death (Philippians 2:7-9), we should do likewise, so that we can be transformed from the selfish pride of our selfish and fleshly existence to one that is spiritual and transforming, to be more like Christ
Consider the true intimacy of Philippians 3:10 as being our goal, “that I might know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. ” The utmost example of intimacy with Jesus is not only to be raised to meet Him in the air (1 Thessa-lonians 4:16-18), but to have fellowship with His sufferings through our being obedient to His call on our lives, and also by enduring the sufferings that very likely will come our way, as we see more of our Christian freedoms and liberties being taken away from us, by the different governments of the world, including the government of my beloved country, the USA.

    • Amen… Intimacy is the Key. As we see the direction that our country is going here in the US, we can identify the time and season as it is declining. However, as we remain intimate with Him, He will shelter us with His wings and provide for our needs as we trust Him only, not this world. I join you in praying for our country and the many lost and broken… Many blessings to you!!

      • Thank you so much Pastor. You have brought tears to my eyes as I read your comment because I try to please God daily by walking in obedience. Sometimes I am having to ask Him to speak loud and clear because I never want to fail Him… but we are all human. I really appreciate your encouraging words. May God bless you, my friend.

      • Thank you, too, for your kind words. I am glad that God’s Spirit is so deeply embedded within yours.
He will continue to lead you to more tears as you realize more of that intimate relationship that you have with Him.
        Blessings,

      • Thank you very much. Remember intimacy with God (John 17:3), and help others to understand the need for such. Blessings to you, “AUG.”

      • Thanks “AUG”… There are times that I want to shout from the rooftops how GREAT GOD is…but then I have to take a step back to reach down to the pits where the most broken are because many of them do not want to hear anything about God, much less how great He is. But with God’s blessings and guidance, He will touch their hearts and draw them to Him. His anointing will break the yoke that bounds them. He is using all of us to reach the unreachable. Please join me in praying for a Mighty Move of God in 2014 where the impossible will be shown possible with God. Thanks for your support, my friend…

      • If you remember the movie, “It’s A Wonderful Life,” you might remember these famous words:
“No one who has friends is a failure.” Thank you for calliing me, “friend.” That means more to me than you can imagine. Blessings to you. Please have a good night.

      • Oh, it has been years since I saw that movie. Thanks for reminding me. Yes, friends are special. Divine Connection friends are even more special. I thank God for connecting us. He always has a plan and orchestrates our lives. Many, many blessings to you, my special friend!!

  2. Our God transforms us first by changing our once hostile minds into ones that hungrily seek Him and His way. Breaking free from abuse is another transformation God can bless us with. Like with conversion and salvation, breaking free also requires choiice and action on our parts.

Please do visit our newest blog. I just posted the second of a series of three teachings regarding abuse that I pray will be helpful to all in breaking free and recovering from abuse. http://www.lifeistoughbutgodalwaysmakesaway.wordpress.com

May God continue to bless and guide your work for Him.

    Blessings,
    Pastor Sharon

    • Oh, Pastor Sharon… you have me crying now. I just left you a long comment on your new blog. I think it is awesome and very helpful. I appreciate your support and stand with you in prayer for all of the broken. I thank God for you and your husband and the work that you both do. Many blessings to you, my sister!!

      • This is an example of how God uses those that are His to actually minister to each other. My prayer daily is that God uses me to make a difference in the lives of those He sends across my path. It’s feedback like yours that encourages me greatly to know that my prayer has indeed been answered.

I am so glad that these words that God wrote through me some time ago are finally being appreciated for the beauty and wonder that they are. It is my blessing and privilege to share them with all.

Stand firm, sis. He has plans for you indeed.

        Blessings,
        Pastor Sharon

      • Thanks Pastor Sharon… Just waiting for Him to open whatever door that He wants me to walk through and equip me in the process… Blessings to you!
