My 600th Post: Abuse and My God Who Rescued Me

This is my 600th post,
since starting in May.
So I come to you,
with a message today.
I started this blog,
to speak out about abuse
and speak about my God
who rescued me from misuse.
For many are so broken
by abuse in our lives…
even by parents, bosses,
husbands or wives.
And these many abuses..
cause us to be broken…
not only by actions…
but even words spoken.
There’s so much abuse
at so many levels…
but we don’t fight flesh and blood,
but against deceptive devils.
For we all have a choice,
between right and wrong
and we all hear these voices,
bringing temptation along.
And these wrong voices
keep tearing us down,
until we stop listening
to the world all around.
So I tell you again,
that God is the Key!
He is the Voice of Truth
and will guide you and me.
And I share this with you,
for His Promises are true,
because I found this out,
when He came to my rescue.

  1. Congrats on your 600th post. Ur blog is inspiring and REAL…and I so enjoy reading it. As a follower of Christ, and being around abuse my entire life, it’s hard to move forward and stay focused when there are constant reminders, actions, memories that attack my mind. Even with God, it’s a process of refining to make stronger. I know it’s not supposed to be easy or we wouldn’t need our savior. Blogs like yours, one of the few that inspire with posts like this…Thank you for posting. May God bless your work. Thank you for what you do.

    • Thank you so much Jaime for your encouraging and inspiring words. Yes, you are so right. It is very hard to move forward with so many things reminding us of our abusive pasts. And it is an everyday process of “renewing of our minds” to let go and step into our future, trusting God to get us through each step.It is not easy but God is the Key. His Words are Truth and Christ is our Savior who has shown us how to overcome this world… by keeping our eyes on our Father! I really appreciate your support and thank you for following and encouraging me as I walk this new path that God has placed me on this past year. Many blessing to you and your family!

Many God pour out His blessings upon you, my friend!!

    • Thank you so much for your encouraging words. Yes, God does answer prayers… not always in how we want them and not in our timing… but He always wants the best for us, It is not until we look back sometimes that we can see how God really orchestrated something for our good. Many blessings to you!

  4. Really like the idea of your site, not just survive in this world that is full of deception and destruction, but to overcome them through the keys of God, the truth of God. God always keep His promises, we must keep pressing in towards the end of this narrow road and never give up! I like your poem style of writing. Keep it up! God bless you 🙂

    • Thank you so much. Yes, we are called to walk as Christ walked and that includes overcoming. Not easy to do but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. I really appreciate your encouraging words of support. May God bless you! Thanks again!

  5. Thank you for your ministy and allowing the Spirit to turn what the enemy intended for evil into healing and hope. This is a special work. You encouraged my work recently and I offer it to you in any way you see fit to use it. My message is often to the conscience of the abuser and oppressor, when I am moved to write. I love your voice to the abused and isolated. God bless your message to reach the ten thousands.

    • Amen.. I really appreciate your prayers for me, my blog, and my book. I would love for you to read it, The Walking Wounded by Secret Angel, and let all of your contacts know. My publisher told me that it should be on Amazon this week. I praise God for what He has done for me and my children and I know that what He has done for me, He can and will do for many, many more. I pray for ten thousand books and more to be sold. I love that your message is to the abuser and oppressor. I also try to reach out to them and talk about that in my book for all abusers were also wounded by the abuses done to them. I previously wrote a post, Abusers… Once called Victims. The wounds of our pasts affect our decisions today..until God heals. Thank you so much for your support and many, many blessings to you, my friend!!

  6. Congratulations on your 600th post! I admire and respect you for sharing God’s power and deliverance in your life. Your witness is inspiring.

  7. Your words make me think of the psalmist’s words:
“Contend, O LORD with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me.
Take up shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid..
Say to my soul, “I am your salvation.”
May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay. …
Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD and delight in his salvation.
My whole being will exclaim, “Who is like you, O LORD? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them…”
I will give you thanks in the great assembly; among throngs of people I will praise you. …
May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant.” (excerpts from Psalm 35)

I join in that crowd of people who rejoice over His goodness to you.

    • Wow.. I feel the God’s Presence so strongly in your words. You have no idea how significant these words that you just gave me are to me right now… I praise God that He just gave me reassurance that He continues to fight for me. He is my Provider, my Healer, my Redeemer, my Everything!! Thank you so much for speaking this blessing over me. I really appreciate your encouraging words and support. May God pour His blessings over you and your family, my sweet sister!

  10. Congratulations on #600! It is as good and even better than the first post. Staying committed to this work of ministry takes a lot, I know. But you have proved worthy of this task, Angel…

      • You are worthy of the exposure and any attention I may be able to give. Your cause is so close to the heart of God that I must support it as I can too!

You are a “true heart” Angel,

      • It is He who is so Worthy!! We serve such an awesome God. He is worthy of all the glory, honor, and praise that we can give to Him. He rescued me from abuse and death… and I know that He will do the same for many others who turn to Him and call out His Name!!
Thanks for all of your support. You are truly a blessing to me.

      • 🙂 Amen to this, and you are a blessing not only to the people you help, but in the eyes of the Lord as well.

And of course, you’re a special soul to me as well, Angel…

      • And you as well, my dear! For we all have our gifts from God and our mission is to use them in His name in service to others…
