Bullying… Not so Cute

anger-management-manchester.png (345×326)

Young children are so cute,
with the expressions they make.
But teaching such actions,
may be a very big mistake.
For what looks cute,
when they’re small and young…
looks totally different,
when teenage bullying’s begun.

For a baby’s fist in the air,
with a frown on his face
may bring a parent’s smile,
and a loving embrace.
But the same expression,
on the face of a teen,
will bring a sign of warning,
of possible violent scene.

For bullying behaviors,
are usually learned at home…
by the way kids are treated,
and the actions they’re shown.
So what may be cute today,
may not be cute tomorrow…
’cause bullying and abuse,
leads many victims to sorrow.

For these babies grow to children,
then to teens then adults.
And these behaviors continue,
with many devastating results.
So teach your children,
the way they should act…
using the “The Golden Rule”…
No bullying should be a fact!

Matthew 7:12… The Golden Rule

“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.”

  1. My son is an A student in advanced education at contentnia savannah in NC.He has been bullied to the point where he came home crying and didn’t want to go back to school.Of course my heart sunk,my son whom loves to go to school, came home and walked into the room, head hung low and his face covered, this is not how my son is,so I knew something was wrong.I asked him “son what’s the matter” he lowered his head even further and covered his face completely and began to cry.He was so humiliated and hurt,he could barely tell me what was wrong.my son whom I have been raising alone since he was 2 due to my wife’s untimely death, along with his little brother and 2 sisters.I moved us here because of the terrible bullying going on in the Christiana school district in Delaware. What are parents doing these days?my god where is the love these parents should be giving their children, hate is NOT funny.hurting others is wrong.Love begins in the home, with the parents. Our children are the future,It is not funny to teach your child such hateful things.parents love, compassion, understanding, guidance in a positive direction is what you should be teaching your child, not tough guys win type attitude. How terrible is mankind’s future, please consider a different way .love your children, talk to them like human beings, teach them compassion. We are all human,no one person deserves to suffer.Stop now and think,do I love my child? It is easy to say “yes I love my child” and another to show it.please, the future depends on you,it starts in the home. And then when the flower blooms, will it shine beauty on the world? It is up to you parent.

    • Jeff, do you mind if I make this plea a posting… Bullying: A Father’s Plea… I would love to share it. I totally agree with you. Bullying in my day did not even have a name for it. I suffered the effects as I lead to wrong decisions in my life due to brokenness. I pray that many, many parents will realize this and teach their children to treat everyone with kindness and respect. The world would be a much nicer place. I stand in prayer with you that parents will rise up to the calling that each has on their life to train up a child the way that God wants and that bullying will stop in schools, homes and workplaces, etc. Lord stop the abuse! Stop the bullying! Raise up a generation that will stand for righteousness… in Jesus name. Amen!

  2. any type of bullying is wrong !

Let’s Stand Up To Those Bullies
Let’s stand up to those bullies who think
    Gay bashing is fun.
If it happened to one of your family members
Would you stand up and fight? Or would you run?

If you found out it was your mother
    Who liked the same gender.
Would you say something to offend her.

A 13 year old in Texas shot himself for being gay
Another 13 years old also hung himself.
    And now a freshman from
Rutgers college jumped off the George Washington bridge
Because two people thought it was funny, so they
    Taped him that day.

Gays have been around since the beginning of time
Open your eyes, you’re not blind.
They live, they work, they play, the same as you
And their lives they’ll give for their country too.

They don’t tell you who you can and can not love
These all come from up above.
If GOD had made us exactly alike
Then we would really argue and fight.
You would be making love to yourself
Because there would not be anything else.

How many more lives must be taken
    Before you are really awakened.
Bullying doesn’t only apply to gay bashing.

People who talk down to you because
You may not be as smart, or as good looking
    Or as slim as them.
Don’t you feel like they offend?

We are all at the bottom of that totem pole
Even the ones who think they’re in control.
Is Roy smarter than me? does Sheila
Have a better body than me?
Everyone has their doubts, but that’s
    What life is all about.

So before you start to put anyone else down
    Turn and look around
They may be talking about you
The same way that you want to do.

    • I totally agree… No one should be bullied. If we all treated each other with kindness and respect, there would be no bullying. I pray that more people will live by the Golden Rule, to treat everyone the way that we want to be treated. It sure would change the world…
      Many blessings to you!
