Book Review: The Walking Wounded: The Path from Brokenness to Wholeness

Thank you Pastor Dan for reading my book and your awesome book review. Many blessings to you, my friend!

Learning To Be Full Of Grace And Truth.

One of the things I have come across more often than I would like in my pastoral ministry is abuse. Verbal abuse and bullying (of both youth and adults) has been the most common, but I have had people come to me who have dealt with more serious abuse: sexual, physical, and psychological. It is a sad fact that domestic abuse is no less common within the church as it is without. This is a very difficult and complicated issue to deal with on a pastoral basis. Abusers are often good at hiding under a guise of morality and victims are too often afraid to come forward for help. Add to that, that there is next to no training about this in seminary and good tools and resources are hard to find.

I am therefore very glad to be able to highly recommend The Walking Wounded: The Path from Brokenness…

    • Well, I think it is fine to “Like” your own post, reblogged or not…just like it is fine to cry in a movie, a store, or even a “cigar shop”. 🙂 Seriously, I can never thank you enough for the awesome review. My reblog got messed up somehow so I had to just put a link to your posting. I don’t know what happened but you will now probably get another notice of the link that I had to put on mine. I have never seen that happen before but it did. The “reblog’s view original” link is no longer there. Strange!! But then the enemy has tried to keep this book hidden for a long time… But God’s Will will prevail. Thanks again. You are a huge blessings to me!!

    • Thank you so much Erica!! I really appreciate that. I can tell you that God Co-authored it as He gave me the words as I wrote. He rescued me when I did not know that I needed rescuing and has raised me up from my brokenness. The link to the book is on that posting as well as on the top of my blog. I have it on my website as a book that I will mail out or an eBook. It is not on Amazon yet but our song is that God gave me. I look forward to you reading it and possibly giving another book review. Thank you so much, my sister. You are definitely a blessing to me!!
