Abused… but Still Connected?

Abused…
but can’t seem to let go.
Well here is something…
that you all need to know.
When we bond with another…
in a relationship of some kind.
We develop a tie…
that causes our souls to bind.
Especially if sexual…
we leave a piece of our hearts behind.
Then struggle to let go…
cause it’s a part of us we can’t find.
And when there are multiple…
our hearts are all spread out.
Cause we leave little pieces of ourselves…
and this is what soul-ties are about.
It’s like a bungee cord…
pulling us back in.
Until that tie is broken…
and the relationship can finally end.
So Lord, break those ties we pray…
and “Deliver us from evil” is spoken.
We no longer want to be connected!
We want these soul-ties broken!
And make us whole again…
with every piece of our heart.
So we can be intact again…
and our new lives can start.

    • Thanks for sharing that link Eric. Awesome posting and blog. I agree that blogging has been eye-opening and mind-opening. Please feel free to email me anytime, my friend. You are a blessing!!

  1. Reblogged this on kmgbaughman and commented:
If only people knew how much truth to this there is. Especially when the tie is to a father or a mother. How does one break the tie? Strength and courage to have a heart full of love and compassion.

  3. Your writing reflects God’s heart of care and compassion. Abuse is so real yet so many people are silent about it – The grace of God is enough to get the victims through it with the loving support of family and friends. I love the way you write because it will give hope to the hopeless and healing to the hurting. Stay Bless!

    • Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I would love for you to read my book. God told me to write it and has shown me the depth of wounds from abuse. I was not a writer… till God told me to write last year. I just walk in obedience as He leads. I know that He has a plan. Thanks again for your kind words of support. I deeply appreciate it. May God bless you, my friend.

      • I would love to read it and provide a review on it as well. I am happy you are walking in obedience to God because He is too faithful not to. Much Respect ~Stacy

      • Thank you so much Stacy. I truly appreciate your support. God is so awesome. He rescued me when I did not even know that I needed rescuing… and what He did for me, He will do for many more. Please join me in prayer for all victims of abuse and against the cycle of abuse that traps many victims. Together, the prayers of the faithful will move mountains. Many blessings to you, my sister!!

      • Thank you for sharing your experience with me. This is a very dear topic to my heart so I am always praying for the victims but will be more fervent in prayer about it. Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. Oh my gosh, so true. There is a reason why God made one man for one woman and not multiple eh. You really do become one with another when you give your body to them.
    =)
