Life’s Crossroads

We all come to life’s crossroads…
when we have to choose a path to go.
And we look all around us…
wishing our future we would know.
But only One knows the path…
that He has chosen for our life.
But how many will trust Him…
with decisions like a husband or wife.
And how many will walk away…
from the entire life that they know…
if God tells them to leave…
would they stay or would they go?
How many will pray…
for His guidance every day…
then trust Him to speak…
and obey what He will say.
For these crossroads will occur…
and a decision we will have to make.
We need to pray for guidance…
and avoid many harmful mistakes.
For I have stood at these crossroads…
many not by my own choice.
But now God has strengthened me…
and given me a new voice.
No longer will I be abused…
and timidly remain in silence.
For God has called me by name…
and I will speak out against violence.

  1. Nothing better that I needed to hear tonight…making decisions..good decisions for your own mental health..can be so hard..Yet I am glad I can make them..and it seems harder when we are so familiar with abuse..and yet make the decision to walk away…

    • Thank you so much for your support. Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way and I pray that more will turn to God for His guidance before making these mistakes. He is the Key!! Bless you, my friend.

  4. So sorry you had to experience this, but you are a stronger person than the abuser ever was. You have the strength and courage to move on from that place and God is always with you where ever you go. Where ever your path leads you know you have the strength to cope. xxxxxx
