Another Abuse: Infidelity and Adultery

Infidelity and adultery…
is destructive and painful.
And as a victim of it…
it’s effects are really disdainful.
And as I cried out to God one day…
for an answer from Him to give.
Because I needed to do my part…
as I tried to totally forgive.
And the answer that I received follows…
Infidelity and adultery is an abuse.
Though you were honest and sincere…
you are a victim of a misuse.
Infidelity and adultery…
is an abuse of a trust.
While a spouse is home waiting…
the other partakes in sinful lust.
Know that only God can get us through it…
for its wounds are very deep.
But to those who partake in this lust…
remember what you sow, you will reap.
For all of His promises…
are biblical and true.
But He is a God of redemption…
so He can heal and restore you.
So hold onto God…
through all your brokenness and pain.
for He promises hope for your future…
and your life will never be the same.

  1. Hey there SA. I just wanted to let you know that we have released the official trailer to our newest film, based on the story of Hosea. For now it’s only in Portuguese, but I will be translating it and getting subtitles in. If you’re interested you can check it out here:

    🙂

    • Wow… Thank you so much. I watched it and it looks excited. I only wish that I could understand it. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to watching it again with the translations… Many blessings to you, my sister!

  2. This post nailed it perfectly. This is exactly how I felt when my husband betrayed our vows. Very healing to read your posts and know that we are not alone…ever. God Bless you and your words. They bring healing in a world filled with abuse.

    • Melanie, thank you so much for your kind words. So many do not understand the wounds of infidelity and adultery but I understand that brokenness since I have lived it. Infidelity and adultery are destructive but too many people feel that it is no big deal in today’s society. I pray that hearts will turn back to God. Thanks again… I appreciate your support more than you can imagine

  3. Well written, “secret.” As one who has been cheated on myself, I know this pain. It goes to the depth of the human soul…and it burns harshly! The wound takes so much time to heal, or so it seems. I am sure that if my faith was greater at the time, I would have found “my Friend’s” comfort sooner.

There is hope, it is important to grab on to that fact! God gets us through…it’s important to know that as well.

Abuse can take on many different “faces.” None of them are good, but they can all be handled, and life, especially in God through Christ, is a quicker path to healing!

    • Amen, my friend. God is the Key to overcoming all of life’s traumas. I probably would have healed sooner too if I had a personal relationship with God to begin with. But He uses all that we have gone through to help others to get through it. The depths of this pain is not understood unless you have lived it. I truly appreciate your support. Many blessings to you Steve!!

      • I am glad to hear you have taken such a negative experience and turned it into a ministry opportunity!

We do endure this world’s things better when we have hope and faith in God. I can’t imagine trying to see this world as “all that there is!”

May the Lord bless you and see after your work…
        Steve

      • Amen… There is so much that we don’t even know. I look forward to more revelation as His children continue to seek Him. Thanks again Steve. You are a blessing.

      • I believe you are committed to this work. And as such, YOU are the blessing!

May your efforts be rewarded by the liberation of many desperate and victimized souls, as well as, the favor of our glorious Lord.

May He be praised for the endeavors of people like yourself, Secret Angel…

        Steve

      • Amen. I appreciate your prayer for the liberation of those victimized. I know that as we join together in prayer for victims that we will see a mighty move of God to rescue many more. Thanks for all of your support, Steve!!

      • As I’ve said, Secret, I am happy to be of any help I can to this cause.

I sent along your name to a reader of mine named “Teela.” She mentioned she’d check out your site. She has a blog which is very similar in nature and cause to yours.

The thought of abusing someone in any way is so foreign to me! I’m not one for violence nor conflict in my personal life. I like peaceful ways of dealing with things.

Now, I know that can’t always be possible. But where it is not an option, “just walk away” is my next option. There is “no excuse for abuse!”

Take care, and I’m sorry it took 2 days to answer this. I’ve been wrapped up in some other things…

        Steve 🙂

      • Thank you so much Steve. Those are the words that so many want to hear. Peace. Yes, let the Peace of the Lord guide our paths. This world would be so much better if more would “just walk away” and live in peace. Thanks for all of your support and may God pour out His blessings onto you, my friend.

      • I don’t know how many times I’ve said the same thing. It’s beyond my comprehension to think of striking anyone, especially one you have loved and cared for…

        Just walk away!!!

If we have been trained by the principles of the Lord, we should find peace, love, and forgiveness as our first options. However, more people are guided by the ideas of this world…to the delight of the evil one!

Enjoy your weekend, Secret, and God love and keep you!

        Steve

      • LOVE THIS… “If we have been trained by the principles of the Lord, we should find peace, love, and forgiveness as our first options.” AMEN!!! I totally agree with you. Too many are guided by the world and the enemy who comes with his deception. I pray that more will realize. Thank you so much Steve. You are truly a blessing!

      • Thanks, Secret! You know, while watching the news over the past few days, I noted just how many people are ready to fight and tear each other apart…in so many instances!

A charity hockey game between the New York fire and police came to a 20 minute brawl during the game. Of course, Spring breaks with so much drinking and fighting!

People just do not consider peaceful means in dealing with others these days! They lead with their aggressive human passions before they even try to think about any other means to solutions.

That’s just the evil one at work in the hearts of so many people! And many of these people don’t even stop to consider their actions after the damage is done!

It is such a sad commentary on the sinful state of mankind! Civility is going “out the window” in favor of all these alcohol-fueled, reactionary, thoughtless acts of person vs. person…

All we can do is try to lead by example and pray that we can influence change in some way. God is in control of everything and has His purposes.

Anyway, thanks for the comments as always. Enjoy your day and may God protect you and yours today and every day!

        Steve

      • Amen. I totally agree with you. Just like the days of Noah with drunkenness and sexual immorality…
I thank God for His grace and mercy in saving us and sending His Son to show us how to lead by example. Though we are human and not perfect, all we can do is keep trying and praying that things will change. Thanks for your awesome comment. Blessings to you, Steve!

      • And the same to you, Angel! You have a great understanding of the nature of Christianity and how to apply it in life! Good for you!!

I’m sure we’ll be talking again soon, here and/or on Twitter.

Enjoy your blessings in Him today,
        Steve 🙂

      • Thanks Steve. I just thank God for what He has done for me and I want many others to feel His Love like I have. Blessings to you, my friend.

      • It’s all about love with God! He has remarkable patience and love for us in that while we were yet sinners, He sent His Son to die on a cross for our sins…

Yet so many people refuse this message, and many will pay an ultimate price for their hard-heartedness. Christians have so much to hope for in the Lord, and we need to help others to see they can have that same hope!

No matter the issues in one’s life, they have hope in God through Christ Jesus…

        Enjoy your blessings today, Angel.
        Steve 🙂

      • No truer words are spoken!

Lean on the Lord for all understanding and love…and only God can supply what we need!

        Have a super day, Angel!
        Steve
