The Story of Your Life

When your life’s story is written…
what will finally be said?
Will it be a story of good…
or a story filled with dread?
What legacy will you leave…
for your future generations?
Will it be of abuse and pain…
or God’s blessings and restorations?
Will it emphasize the struggles of life…
or the good of God’s creations?
For we can focus on the negative
with anger and frustration…
Or we can refocus on God’s blessings…
for He is our Foundation.
So think about your legacy…
that you will leave behind.
And I pray that it is good…
and God’s blessings you will find.
For we need to overcome this world…
and God is  truly the Key.
So reach out to Him…
and let Him lead your legacy.

  1. I have not had a chance to check out your blog until this morning. Wow! What an awesome site. I as you probably know from reading one of my posts previously, am what I now refer to ‘abuse survivor’ not victim. I was a victim for way too long. Even after I was out, the heart of the victim continued for almost two years now, but the light is finally beginning to break through. I never knew how hard it was to recover from someone’s verbal and emotional beat down. It erodes your belief even in yourself not to mention trusting anyone else. I am thankful for a God who has stayed close by my side even when others seemed to give up. It will be a part of my story that I too am writing in the hopes to give another person at least 5 minutes of peace in their journey out of abuse. Thank you and I hope you will stop by Pressing on Again. I took a little break but I am back now with more of my story to share. GBU

    • Thank you so much for your encouraging words. And Yes, it is very difficult to recover from the wounds of verbal and emotional abuse… but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Only God sees the wounds that are inflicted upon us and only God can truly heal them. He will then use each of our stories to help others to overcome the abuses of this world. He is so good and never leaves our side. Sometimes it just takes looking back to see that He has never left us. Keep on the path of wholeness with Him, my sister. He is the Key. Many thanks for your support and many blessings to you, my sister!!

      • Again…thank you for your words of encouragement. I hope my testimony will someday, somehow help someone else and I would be honored if that is God’s plan, however He uses it…I know it will be for good. Thank you….
