Children of abusive parents…
have so much to overcome.
Including the cycle of abuse…
they need to break away from.
For the cycle of abuse…
continues in many families.
As it becomes normal behavior…
but results in many tragedies.
And as I watch my children…
move out on their own.
I praise our God above…
for the grace and mercy He’s shown.
For He has broken the cycle…
and opened their eyes to the source.
And when they raise their voice…
God will get them back on course.
For a life without abuse…
is what I have prayed.
And though their dad hasn’t changed…
our Father God has never strayed.
For He has opened their eyes…
to the destruction of abuse.
And turned their hearts to Him…
for He will one day use.
So I pray for you all…
that the cycle of abuse be broken.
So we can all be free…
for God’s Words were clearly spoken.
Christ came to heal the brokenhearted…
and set the captives free.
So I cry out to Jesus…
for He is truly the Key!

Isaiah 61:1
““The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”

Excellent choice of Bible verse for that entry.
All the bad things that happen in the world…so much worse when they happen to children.
Thank you so much… and you are so right! Children are born innocent…. and should remain that way for many years. They need to be protected, not abused. God bless you, my brother!
That image speaks louder than a lot of words. Loved this post.
Thank you so much and many blessings to you!
