“A Place Called Brokenness”

“Brokenness” is a Place…
that many don’t know.
For it is NOT a Place…
that many want to go.

And when we never visit…
then we know not how they feel…
to be so humbled and broken…
that on our knees we fall to kneel.

For this “Place called Brokenness” is hard…
and not a place that’s desired…
whether from abuse or marriage loss…
or illness or even a job fired.

But its in this Place…
when we crumble to our knees…
that we reach out for GOD…
and cry out, “Lord, Help me! Please!”

And in this “Brokenness”…
a place of pain and desolation…
is when we see God move…
and begin to feel His restoration.

For when we have nothing left…
and our worlds have fallen apart…
is when we finally let go…
and totally give God our heart.

And He will heal and restore…
and put compassion in our hearts…
for the next time someone feels broken…
we’ll remember where compassion got it’s start.

For we would have walked the streets…
and in a “Place of Brokenness” we’ve stood…
and it’s only from this perspective…
that this brokenness can be understood.

  1. This has to be one of my favourite post! Especially this: and it’s only from this perspective…
that this brokenness can be understood. No matter how each person has/is broken it truly is only understood when you experience it, recognize it, and reach out to Our Lord above for guidance, strength and grace. It’s difficult, as when we are in a place of brokenness there are times we even question….where is God in all of this. He is Here! We just to Reach for his Love, feel His Spirit in everyone of us. Just simply TRUST in Him! ❤

    • Amen!! Yes, that is right. We can’t understand someone’s pain, fear, darkness… unless we have been there and experienced it. Many say they understand don’t truly know unless they have walked that path… but God is so good. He is calling many of us from various areas of brokenness to reach out to help others who are in need of the LIGHT that has lead us out of darkness. God bless you, my friend!!

    • Thank you so much “suthrn-sister”… I really appreciate your support. So many of us have visited this place… but I am so thankful that we no longer live there.God bless you!!

    • Amen… I totally agree and can relate. We just have to remember that God uses us in our brokenness to help others who are even more broken. Nothing is lost with Him. God bless you, my friend!
