A “Rag-Doll” on a Shelf

This is for the many who have suffered because of abuse or adultery in their lives. The feeling of being used and discarded is so painful with deep wounds being inflicted upon these victims. No one should ever be made to feel this way.

Have you ever felt like a doll…
like a “rag-doll” on a shelf…
or like an old toy in a corner…
when a new toy replaces itself.
For many are replaced…
with newer “models” they find…
when the older are not as cute…
and it’s radiance no longer shine.
But these “rag-dolls” have feelings…
and get hurt with such abuse…
when newer dolls are loved…
and older are put up with no use.
But these rag-dolls have loved…
and put up with much misuse…
always hoping for better futures…
and believing every excuse.
So now they all sit…
like rag-dolls on a shelf…
while those they once loved…
are wrapped up in their self.
For such unacceptable behavior…
with infidelity and more…
have hurt many “rag-dolls”…
who feel thrown on the floor.
No longer loved…
and their feelings disregarded…
cause many broken hearts…
when they are now discarded.
But God sees all wounds…
in each doll, young and old…
and He will heal the broken…
and their stories will be told.
For these rag-dolls will rise…
and be loved once again…
when weeping turns to joy…
as their new lives will begin.
For God has a plan…
for each doll He so loves…
and He will restore…
with Divine Favor from above.
For He knows each heart…
and which are truly pure…
and He will bring blessings…
for the abuse each endured.

Dear Lord, only You see the deep wounds that have been inflicted upon Your children by abuse and infidelity. You feel their pain as they feel used and discarded. You see the brokenness to individuals and marriages. We pray for healing for each victim and restoration for all who have suffered these wrongs. Give repentant hearts to those who have wounded others by their actions. Bring these victims Joy instead of tears and beauty for ashes as You raise them up to the calling that You have for each… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
