“For better or worse”…
to many these vows were spoken…
and for our children…
we pray it’ll never be broken.
For I pray for marriages of 3…
husband, wife, and “Holy Trinity”.
I pray for lives filled with Love…
with God’s Presence from above.
I pray that kindness will abound…
with no abuse or anger to be found.
I pray for Peace to fill the air…
with the Prince of Peace always there.
I pray their lives to be blessed…
walking with the Lord through every test.
For prayers for our children are many…
while praying their blessings are plenty.
So Lord, I lift up my children today…
asking You to always guide their way.
May they always know You are near…
and Your still small voice they’ll hear.
And may You raise them up to serve You…
to walk in obedience in all they do.
In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

There is a similar quote from Bonhoeffer: “Love does not keep the marriage; the marriage keeps the love.” ….a subject of so much confusion among Christians these days.
