Seasons Come and Go

Our lives are constantly changing. It is only when we lose things that we feel that we can’t live without that we finally realize this important lesson.~~ We can not hold onto anything in this world. We have to just hold onto the One who is in ultimate control of all the changes.

It’s all in God’s timing…
when things will come to pass.
And though our struggles hurt…
they won’t forever last.
For seasons come and go…
with the changing leaves we see.
Like waves come with ebbs…
from tiny ones to tsunamis.
And that’s how abuse cycles…
between the good and bad times.
While we always hope for the best…
but the worst is what we find.
But the best thing I have found…
is trusting God with my life…
no matter what I am going through…
whether peaceful times or strife.
For as I held onto my ideals…
of what I wanted and desired…
is when I found disappointment…
with the worldly things I required.
But when I totally trusted God…
and gave Him my life to use…
then I could walk in obedience…
even if it was through seasons of abuse.
For God will use every struggle…
that we have been through…
when we give Him our hearts…
and do what He wants us to do.
So trust Him with your life…
and through every season…
for whatever He carries you through…
He definitely has a reason.

Dear Lord, turn hearts to You so that more will give their lives to You. That they will realize that this world has nothing for us. Our inheritance is in You, not what this world has to offer! Help them to realize that our lives are not about us… It’s all about You and the eternity that You have planned for each of us in Your Presence… in Jesus Name. Amen.
