Dreams of our Futures

So many of us have been broken and let go of the dreams that have been placed upon our hearts. We walk through life with hopelessness and despair when God has already given us glimpses into our future through the dreams that we experience. Don’t let go of these dreams. Hold onto your hope for He has a calling on all of our lives and just waits for us to acknowledge Him and trust Him with our futures. We all have hopeful dreams… believe them.

Dreams of our futures…
  strategically written upon our hearts.
Actually originated up in heaven…
where the book of life starts.
For our God-given desires…
with a purpose He has placed…
as part of our calling…
with His abundant mercy and grace.
So dreams are not coincidental…
and should not be discarded.
They are to give you hope…
with plans for your future regarded.
God wrote them in His book…
and etched them on each heart.
So He leads us into our future…
from our very first start.
But broken hearts and souls…
block the flow of future plans.
We need healing and restoration…
so on hope for our futures we can stand.
So Lord, heal our hearts and souls…
and restore our hope-filled dreams…
for You lead us into our futures…
in more ways than it seems.
Please give us the “bread crumbs”…
that we can follow day by day…
as we walk into our calling…
allowing You to lead the way.

Then I said, “Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart.” Psalm 40: 7-8

Watch this video and listen to the words. Never let the brokenness of life kill your dreams. Your dreams were given to you for a purpose.

  1. Working on those long ago dreams in my heart as I write this. Hard to hold to in this dog eat dog world of trying to get published but learning to trust God to guide my steps. Thank you for a lovely encouragement. And love Susan Boyle and her story. Such an inspiration.

    • I totally understand what you are saying. I wrote my book then prayed for months about publishing it. You are right… Trust God to guide your steps. He will make a way. Thanks for commenting. I also love Susan Boyle and the inspirational story of her life. She did not let her dreams die… and neither should we. God bless you, my sister!
