Storms in Life

This is for the many who have faced storms and struggles in this life through abuses of this world. These words describe so many of us… but we don’t have to stay this way. Think about it…

“Storms in life are not meant to break us…

but to bend us towards God.”

We have been:

Bent,
but not broken.
Wounded,
from words spoken.
Fearful,
from acts of violence.
Lonely,
with a life of silence.
Confused,
by alternating love and misuse.
Trapped,
with these cycles of abuse.
But…

We don’t have to remain in these situations. These feelings of brokenness, fear, confusion, etc have all been experienced by victims of abuse. We have all cried out for help… though some were silent. God hears our cries and sees every tear. He sent His Son, our Savior, to heal the brokenhearted, to set free the captives, to comfort those who mourn, and to restore all things back to order. We don’t have to live in disorder. We are children of God. Purposefully made to fulfill the calling that He has on each of our lives. And, He is calling us to turn to Him and lean on Him to get us through our darkest days… for He is the Light that will guide our path.
