Our Self-Reflection~~Through God’s Eyes

This is for the many who have been wounded by various abuses and are plagued with inaccurate self-reflections. God made us all a certain way with a plan and purpose for each of our lives. But so many of us measure ourselves against man’s standards. We all need to remember that it is only God’s view of us that matters. Let us all learn to see our reflection through God’s eyes.

Our Self-reflection…
is not always clear.
But one thing is sure..
God is always near.
He loves us all…
just the way we’re made.
And though we struggle….
His view of us will never fade.
But sometimes we need…
a little help with our clarity…
to see His Truth about us…
and climb from our pit of disparity.
For though some are big…
and others are small.
And some are short…
and others are tall.
And some so beautiful…
which our eyes want to behold…
God looks inward at hearts…
where the real truth is told.
For He knows our hearts…
and every wound within.
And He sees our depression…
and where it did begin.
He sees our pride…
that leads us to harm.
And sees all the truth…
through any deceptive charm.
For nothing is hidden…
from our Father up above.
And He wants to heal us…
with His pure merciful Love.
So Lord, we pray…
set us all free today.
Remove any negative thoughts…
that lead us the wrong way.
Heal all our wounds…
and make our vision clear.
Lift us from our pits of despair…
opening our ears to clearly hear.
Help us to see ourselves…
through Your clear sight.
So our self-reflection will be true…
as seen through Your Light.
And help us to walk in faith…
with Your boldness to succeed…
in whatever You call us to do…
following as You lead.

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen!

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:9-11

    • Thanks Sarah!! God is giving us both confirmation. We need to keep looking at ourselves as God sees us… and sometimes we just need a little reminder. God bless you, my precious sister!!

    • I totally agree with you. Life is not easy and the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. But God… He is our Source of all things and it is His opinion of us that truly matters. We just need to remember that. God bless you!
