Prayer for Today: Soul on Fire

Dear Lord,
Set hearts and souls on fire for You today. Ignite flames within us and put Your Holy Spirit Power deep in our hearts so that You can use us to touch more hearts and re-light those whose fires are dwindling. Raise up Your army of fire-starters to shine Your Light as You empower us to do Your work as a “soul on fire” for You… in Jesus’ Name. Amen

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” Romans 12:11

“…for our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:29

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

“See, I have refined you, though not as silver;
I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.” Isaiah 48:10

    • Thanks. I am so glad that you liked it. I saw that fire on another blog posting and that author gave me permission to use it. I have no idea how they made it or who exactly was the original maker. I just pray that hearts will be put ablaze for the Lord like these beautiful flames. God bless you!

  1. I just did a recent post on His discipline through trials to help make us good children of His, able to withstand the evil darts of Satan and his angels. That last verse from Isaiah 40 is a good example of How He allows us to be tested by affliction for our own good. The evil one is powerful here on earth and we need to be made strong to withstand him!

    • Promotion through perseverance. But we need to remember that Satan has already lost. As children of God, we can claim this victory for ourselves for there is Power in the Name of Jesus… and He resides within those who welcome Him in.

      • Amen to this. In fact, people believe in this big battle of “Armageddon.” But the truth is, the battle is already over, it has been won at the cross when Jesus arose from death!

        In fact, Jesus sends one angel to subdue Satan and toss him into hell…period (Rev. 19)!

        God has secured us the victory and keeps us strong if we let Him until the day when Jesus returns for the final Judgment…

      • The battle is won for all who remain in the Light of the Savior. But we must not let our guards down as the evil one can still seek to destroy us and take away our heavenly prize.

        We work until the end for the guaranteed victory which is already won at the cross of Christ!

        Steve 🙂
