My Inspirational Song For Today: “Just Be Held”

After a weekend of feeling brokenhearted and crying out to God, I heard this song today and knew that God was sending me this message that I want to share with you. The lyrics, “Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place. I’m on the throne, stop holding on, and just be held”  and “not a tear is wasted… in time, you’ll understand”  are just the words that I needed to hear. We all have a tendency to want to hold onto our lives the way that we have imagined them to be… but our plans may not be God’s plans. Sometimes, we just need a little reminder to trust Him and hold onto Him for our futures and our children’s futures. He wants to hold us even more than we want to be held.

“Just Be Held” by Casting Crowns

Hold it all together
Everybody needs you strong
But life hits you out of nowhere
And barely leaves you holding on

And when you’re tired of fighting
Chained by your control
There’s freedom in surrender
Lay it down and let it go

So when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held
Just be held, just be held

If your eyes are on the storm
You’ll wonder if I love you still
But if your eyes are on the cross
You’ll know I always have and I always will

And not a tear is wasted
In time, you’ll understand
I’m painting beauty with the ashes
Your life is in My hands

Lift your hands, lift your eyes
In the storm is where you’ll find Me
And where you are, I’ll hold your heart
I’ll hold your heart
Come to Me, find your rest
In the arms of the God who won’t let go

  1. what great and powerful lyrics. It is difficult at best, when we are at our lowest to let go and let God, but this song reminds us of just that! Beautiful post.

  2. A beautiful thought Angel. Yes, we feel vulnerable at times…taken down by life. Just because we are children of God doesn’t mean life will not strike at us. In fact, because we are His own, we may have even more challenges at times. But if we trust Him to hold on to us, we can usually be comforted. Good thoughts and hope you are feeling better…

    • Amen. Just look at Job. A righteous man but he loss it all as a test.. then got back double portions when he passed the test. I pray that we can all pass the tests that come our way. And thanks… I am feeling better since I heard that song. God gives us messages in many different ways. God bless you.

  4. It’s truly a beautiful experience that’s definitely surreal when God embraces us as we give it to Him.

Letting go is hard for anyone. However, when the pain is too much to bear; it’s easy to command your spirit to God’s hands.

MUCH LOVE, LIGHT AND BLESSINGS, EMMA

  5. Was really blessed by this post – it’s a timely reminder for me. The line “your world’s not falling apart it’s falling into place” really does change one’s perspective! Thank you 🙂

  7. I just found your blog. I was looking for a beautiful image of these very lyrics to post on my own breast cancer survivor blog and wala! Here I am! During my own journey with cancer, I was privileged to meet and assist an angel. And you know what, she and her precious baby were such a blessing to me! This precious lady changed my life. You are doing such important work for the angels of God! You and the angels will be in my prayers.

    • Thank you so much Patricia for your encouraging words. God uses so many of us to help others through similar circumstances. I praise God for your healing and that He will use you and your story as a testament to His healing power. You are an overcomer!!
