Hello, My Name Is… (A Story of Redemption)

I saw this video today and wanted to share it with you as it brought tears to my eyes. So many of us take wrong paths in our lives and believe the lies that are spoken about us by others and even ourselves. We fill in the blanks as we say “My name is…” but use negative words that the world judges us by instead of what God says we are. We succumb to these negative words as we accept them as truth. But they are not truth! We take these wrong paths of brokenness until we finally turn to God… and then we can truly find out who we are and can truthfully say “Hello, my name is child of the One True King.”

Remember, God has a plan for each of us. And it is only as we finally turn to Him, that our path of brokenness and story of redemption will become a testament to God’s grace and mercy in our lives as we overcome our pasts to use it in our futures.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” 1 John 3:1

  1. We do need reminders that we have changed from who we were and that all of what we have been through defines us, not just the bad things of the past but who we have become as a result, that that rocky road eventually lead someplace much better. Great post.

  2. I like this post very much, Angel. It is easy to accept the abusive and negative things which people put on us. Satan has made it that way. He seeks to destroy all that Christ has made good. But we must not fall into the evil one’s traps. We are loved of God and more than we know. We need to think on that fact each day…

    Steve 🙂
