A Vision Shared: A Shell of a Body (Romans 8:19)

I want to share a vision that I had this weekend. We need to “empty” ourselves so that God can “fill us up” with His Spirit and use us for His purposes..

A shell of a body…
is the vision that can to my mind…
totally void of everything…
like an empty vessel left behind.
And as the shell of this body…
became Holy Spirit filled…
it began to walk as Christ walked…
for God’s purposes to be fulfilled.

For no mind, will, or emotions…
could then get in the way…
as it became totally Spirit-led…
to walk and speak whatever God would say.
And this is God’s desire…
to use our bodies for His plan…
but totally “dying to self”…
is what many fail to understand.

For it is all about Him…
and is not at all about us…
so becoming like a empty shell…
is like walking in total trust.
For He will bring us to new levels…
that we have never seen before…
but we have to totally die to self…
for God to open these higher doors.

For we will become empowered…
with the Spirit of God within…
to walk as Christ walked…
with a life of miracles to begin.
So to become a “shell” for God…
is what we should all desire…
for to be His “manifest sons”…
“dying to self” is what God will require.

“For the earnest expectation of the creation
eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” Romans 8:19

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12

Dear Lord, we come humbly to You and ask You to help us to become “empty shells” for You. Help us to empty out so that we can be completely filled by Your Spirit to walk into the fullness of the plan that You have destined each of us for. We thank You for calling us to higher levels with You, and  we ask You to empower us to reach those levels with a boldness to do Your work as Your sons as Your Word has been spoken… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
