Dancing Through the Fire

As I reflect on events in my past
with all the things that I have loss,
I have to remind myself to be thankful
for all things no matter what the cost.
For I have found myself getting upset…
of all my dreams that have gone bad.
But I realize the need to be thankful…
to look to the future and not be sad.
And when I heard these lyrics…
as I listened to this song…
I remember all the heartache…
with all the things that have gone wrong.
But then I remember Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
who were thrown into the furnace of fire…
but not a single hair was burned…
with deep levels of faith that God desires.
For God was with them…
in the midst of their fiery storm…
so let us dance through our fires…
and let their levels of faith be our norm.
For the fires of our lives…
will bring refining and transformation…
as we walk in faith with God…
and receive His healing and restoration.

Dear Lord, Please forgive us for looking back instead of keeping our eyes on You and the future that You have planned for us. Help us to be like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego with levels of faith that bring miraculous results. We pray for healing and restoration as we walk through the refining fire…and we pray for overflowing Joy and Peace that surpasses all understanding and enables us to dance through any storm that we encounter… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
