The Dangers of Anger

There are dangers of anger…
as it rises up inside…
for the results are evident…
as those emotions can’t hide.
But many victims of abuse…
have witnessed this first-hand…
as recipients of violence…
to levels most don’t understand.
So many stay outwardly calm…
though they want to burst within…
for they will never show anger…
which may trigger violence to begin.
And many people reach a point…
that they turn and leave…
for as the anger rises…
a composure they try to retrieve.
But so many abusers explode…
and then become violent…
for it’s at those times…
their anger won’t stay silent.
But the best thing we can do…
is to have all anger gone…
so it will never rise up…
and it’s results never shown.
For anger and bitterness…
become embedded deep inside…
till they become displayed…
when can no longer be denied.
And many abuse victims…
have encountered various threats
as the abusers get angry or violent…
without any remorse or regrets.
For anger becomes acceptable…
when entwined in hardened hearts…
so these roots need to be removed…
before any violence ever starts.
So heal us all Lord,
and deliver us from any negative trait…
so we can live in Peace…
avoiding any anger and hate.

Dear Lord, only You see what is embedded deep within each heart. You know those who have anger, resentment, bitterness deep inside that is negatively affecting their lives or the lives of their families. Deliver us from evil. Purify our hearts and remove the deep-seeded roots that cause us to lash out in anger. Bring Peace, Hope, and Joy to all as You bring healing and restoration to all… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

  1. Anger usually comes from a wounded soul. When that soul is healed, the anger has no place to return to.
