God in a Box? “But What If” Is The Question We Need To Ask

So many put God in a box…
but are we in a box too?
Putting limitations not only on God…
but what we can do too.
Thinking that our beliefs are right…
but believing many others are wrong.
And believing to walk in righteousness…
and on His Word to stand strong.
“But what if”…
is the question we need to ask…
as we think of our Limitless God…
for Whom nothing is an impossible task.
“What if”…
He has a marvelous plan…
but in our human minds…
it surpasses all we can understand.
“And what if”…
He has anointed someone with a call…
that is beyond human logic…
as we think it’ll lead to a fall.
“But what if”…
God’s plan is not our own…
will we accept what seems “impossible”…
or insist on our plan being known.
For we become comfortable…
as we live within our little box…
thinking that all is safe and secure…
with all possible entries having locks.
For our way of thinking…
is what we consider to be what’s right…
so we keep it tightly locked…
keeping out any new Light.
But God is never stagnant…
and has many things yet revealed…
so will you get out of your “box”…
or stay within your box concealed.
Will you open your mind…
to God’s endless possibilities…
or will you stay closed up…
and try to limit God’s capabilities.
Now these are questions…
that we all need to explore…
so ask yourself “What if”…
and ask God to reveal to you more.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55: 8-9

  1. This was so very well said. I think this often, but you put it in easily understood words. It makes me happy to see someone actually say it.
