Putting “Foot in Mouth”

Have you ever said something…
that you did not intend to say…
then get upset with yourself…
for your words coming out that way?
For putting “Foot in mouth”…
is what many seem to do…
saying the wrong things…
when it’s not what they mean to do.
Then they feel guilt or shame…
or they just get upset…
then start putting themselves down…
for saying something they regret.
For the world puts us down…
then we speak words to agree…
so we need to repent…
for that’s not how God tends to see.
God sees our soul and spirit…
and the intentions of our heart…
and He knows if it’s good or evil…
with the root from which it starts.
And He knows that we are human…
and not perfect in any way…
for He sent His Son to save us…
with His Grace and Mercy every day.
So let go of the guilt and shame…
and all your concerns and worry…
and hold onto God alone …
for only He is worthy.

  1. Reminds me of our political situation in America right now! May the Lord help us with this one…

      • You are right, His will be done! Right now, it is probably best to watch out for ourselves and our souls as the top priority. It is always the best goal to follow because we sure don’t want to miss heaven!

    • Awe… thank you, my brother! Your poems have an anointing that we can feel the Love pour out from the words. God bless you for all that you share with us… God’s Love.
