Don’t Miss The Boat– Again

Don’t miss the boat…
is the message this week.
For some have missed many boats…
with answers to prayers they seek.
Like the story of the man…
trapped as flood waters rose…
praying to God on his roof…
for something only he and God knows.
For God send a rowboat…
to rescue him from the rooftop…
but he refused to get in…
believing this boat was not his stop.
Then God sent a powerboat…
in another attempt to rescue him…
but he refused this boat again…
declaring his faith will never end.
Then God send a helicopter…
that would rescue him from the flood by air…
but he refused again to escape…
for he was seeking an answer to prayer.
And it was not until he drowned…
and asked God why he wasn’t rescued…
that God told him He tried three times…
and each time he had refused.
So how many of us do this…
and each time miss God’s boat…
for we are praying for our own will…
and not submitting to the plan He wrote.
And I can tell you honestly…
that I did this many times…
praying for God to fix my situation…
steadfast in the “perfection” in my mind.
But God has better plans for our lives…
than the wounds that many of us tote…
so just let God have control…
and don’t miss when He sends the next boat.

      • And the same to you, Angel. Got away from the heat out here near the desert area in which I live and went to the coast Saturday…(20 degrees cooler!)

        🙂

      • Oh no! I can’t remember exactly, but you are in the Louisiana area? If so, we see the reports of such flooding. It seems the storms are heavy in Texas too…

      • Angel, out here right next to the lower desert areas, I can’t remember our last rainfall. We need rain so badly, but there will be none in sight for months…besides an occasional spatter due to heat and a little moisture from the Southwest.

        Send us some rain!

        🙂

      • Amen! Lord, You hear his request. Send the rain from the southern states into the dry, desert areas of the west. Bring relief to both areas as You transfer the rain from the soaked areas to the dry areas… in Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
