Victimized– Then Angry With God

So many have been victimized…
by various abuses they have faced…
then make wrong choices…
feeling already broken and disgraced.
Now some choose wrong mates…
who will abuse or terrorize them more…
leading to even more heartache…
than they ever had before.
Then some will turn to drugs…
to escape from all the pain…
leading many to homelessness or jail…
or some even going insane.
For the abuses of our pasts…
lead many down wrong paths…
where our choices are in error…
as they lead to even more wrath.
Then many become so angry…
and to God they throw the blame.
How can He let this happen…
when He knows our sorrow and shame!?
But one thing we need to realize…
is who comes to kill, steal, and destroy…
for Satan is the blame for these wrongs…
as he uses many as his little toy.
So make good decisions…
and get on the right track…
for when God is in your corner…
Satan will not win his attack.
For God loves us all…
and sees our hurt and shame…
as He waits for us to come to Him…
where our lives will never be the same.
For He knows when we are angry…
and knows the wounds from which it came.
But He offers healing and restoration…
so lets cry out to Him for help instead of blame.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” James 1:19-20

“And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.” Ephesians 4:26-27

  2. I’m not sure I agree that by being angry you give “a foothold” to the devil. I rarely think about the devil. I don’t think he had anything to do with how my life turned out. I never believed in him to the point of worship but I believe he exists.
I also believe…even after everything…that good always triumphs over evil….but I also think it hasn’t helped me very much.

    • Amen! Good always triumphs over evil. Now I believe that there are things in our lives that give Satan the legal right to cause havac in our lives or even if God allows it… like Job. And it is OK to get angry because even Jesus got angry. But there is a difference in righteous indignation and a root of bitterness. It is something we have to evaluate within our own hearts.
