Inspirational Picture of the Day: You Have a Choice

Image result for countless have lost their joy john 10:10

This is for those who have developed a negative attitude from the negative words constantly being spoken over them and the hurtful actions against them.  When all we see and hear is negative,  we tend to always look for the negative. But we can begin to change our outlook by choosing what we want to focus on and speaking positive ourselves.  It is a process of transformation… and it is a daily choice.

So many lose their joy
as darkness looms all around…
but many fail to even look…
for the Light that can be found.
Like wearing dark sun glasses…
that shade the light of day…
many succumb to the darkness…
and chose to live that way.

For it becomes a standard…
from which they then live by…
as they only see negative…
and then quit to even try.
But if we change our focus…
and start to look for the Light…
we will see the positive…
with transformation of our sight.

Like seeing the beauty of roses…
despite the sting of the thorn…
we’ll see the positive over negative…

and become whole instead of being torn.
For there is so much good…
that overpowers the bad…
but we have to choose to be happy…
instead of staying mad or sad.

For the world tries to break us…
but Christ came to heal and restore.
So we can choose Him or the world…
and see which blesses you more.
For this world is full of darkness…
but we can choose to focus on the Light…
and as we make this daily choice…
we’ll see our futures are really bright.

    • I really understand how you feel. I am still in the process of learning to overcome my past. It is a daily choice to transform our lives. Many times I do not even realize that I am still speaking negative until someone points it out.I repeatedly have to tell myself “hold every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.”(2 Corin. 10:5) And, “I will look only upon those things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely…” (Phil. 4:8) It is a daily progress… one step at a time.
