Thought for Today: Living Water

Living water has been a thought on my mind today. Let us all seek more of His Living Water where His River flows into us so that He can use us to flow out to help others who are in need.

His Living Water will bring the “dead” to life with healing and restoration. He is our Source of all that is good, right, just, true, and pure… and all we need to do is tap into His Living Water as we seek more of Him and just watch as our transformation will begin.

Dear Lord, we humbly come before You and seek Your Face. We want more of You. We want Your Living Water to flow into us so that out of the abundance of our heart will flow Your River  of Living Water like a fountain that flows and cascades upon those around us.  Bring healing and restoration to Your children with transformation from vessels that receive to vessels that pour out Your Water to minister to others… in Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

“On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive…” John 7: 37-39

  1. What are “the living waters”?
Pentecostals say it is speaking in tongues and feelings of ecstatic joy but other Christians have different definitions. There is so much religious hysteria in Charismatic circles that it is hard to take seriously sometimes. What do you say? Most of what passes for “baptism in the Spirit” is charismania in our time and does not look at all like what I see in the book of Acts.
