DV Awareness Day#24: CURSES and Abusive Words Spoken

Image result for curses and abusive words spoken

Curses…
and abusive words spoken…
lead many to barrenness…
and lives shattered and broken.
For true barrenness…
comes in several different ways…
whether financial or familial…
the hindrance of blessings stays.
For the curses many speak…
cut though souls like a knife…
with wounds so deep…
and even some loss of life.
For there is power in words…
whether positive or negative is cast…
and until the curse is broken…
the woundedness of many will last.
And many think “curses”…
occur only with the occult…
but they occur almost daily…
when someone issues an insult.
For many negative words…
angrily spoken in haste…
provide lasting effects…
and broken lives in waste.
So guard your mouth…
considering the words you speak…
for generational curses…
cause negative effects that we reap.
And speak only positive…
for blessings to be poured out…
for the negative is abusive…
and the spirit realm is what it’s about.
For attack after attack…
comes from the negative words spoken…
and it’s from these curses…
that many lives have been broken.

“Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. “James 3:5-8

Dear Lord, only You see the multitude of broken lives by the negativity of just words spoken. You see the millions of “curses” that are spoken over children and families for generation after generation without even realizing the power of the words and their negative effects.  We pray that eyes will be opened to realize that power in the spoken word and that positive will be spoken,  instead of negative. . We pray that these negative words and curses will be broken off of lives and family bloodlines. We pray for blessings to be poured into their lives and all that was lost to be restored… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
