Sometimes We Don’t Understand– But Just Pray for “Thy Will”

Image result for praying for thy will

Sometimes we don’t understand why things happen in our lives or the obstacles that we face, but we can always be assured of God’s mercy and grace. He sees our struggles and knows our pains, but He is always in control and will turn our brokenness into gains. So just trust Him with our lives and all that we have to overcome for when we leave it all up to Him and pray for “Thy Will”, we will see abundant blessings to come.  We just have to trust Him.

“Thy Will”

I’m so confused
I know I heard You loud and clear
So, I followed through
Somehow I ended up here
I don’t wanna think
I may never understand
That my broken heart is a part of Your plan
When I try to pray
All I’ve got is hurt and these four words

Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done

I know You’re good
But this don’t feel good right now
And I know You think
Of things I could never think about
It’s hard to count it all joy
Distracted by the noise
Just trying to make sense
Of all Your promises
Sometimes I gotta stop
Remember that You’re God
And I am not
So

Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Like a child on my knees all that comes to me is
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will

I know You see me
I know You hear me, Lord
Your plans are for me
Goodness You have in store
I know You hear me
I know You see me, Lord
Your plans are for me
Goodness You have in store
So

Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Like a child on my knees all that comes to me is
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done

I know You see me
I know You hear me, Lord

Dear Lord, we know that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purposes. But You know the struggles that we all endure and the obstacles that we have to overcome. Give us the strength, wisdom, courage, and knowledge to persevere and overcome all that we encounter as we reach for the goals that You have placed upon our hearts. And we thank You for the blessings that You have given us as we pray for Thy Will to be done in our lives as we submit to Your plans and purposes for which we are ordained… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

  2. Wow… So needed this today sis. The battle is real, the struggle hard, and the burden heavy. Christmas is the most difficult time. Instead of visions of sugar plums dancing in my head, it is a day of consistent “Thy Will Be Done’s”….

    • Yes, the battle is so real! And our mind is the battleground. We have to hold every thought captive to the obedience of Christ to transform our minds. After years of negativity, it is a moment by moment process to overcome… and singing Thy Will Be Done is a good way to keep focused on Him. Praying for you!!!

  3. Even Jesus had to pray in the garden on the night He was arrested…”Father thy will be done,” If even the Son of God prayed this, we who follow after God through Christ Jesus must accept His will and pray for it to be. This includes the times when we may suffer for a while. In the end, God’s plans for His children will all be for the better…

    Steve 🙂

      • Yes it is in my opinion too. We should always pray for His will to be done, because it will always be done in the end. Mat the Love love and bless you too, sis…

        🙂
