Mary, Did You Know?… And Do You Know?

Every time I hear this song, my heart just melts. And as I listen to the questions that are asked in these lyrics, the thought comes to me that Mary knew that her Son would walk in the miraculous as the Son of God, but I doubt that she knew the extent of His calling as our Savior. Then the question that I want all of you to think about is do you know what God has called you or your children to do? You see, God never reveals all that He plans for each of us, but as we seek Him and follow Him, He will lead us and guide us into our future that He has planned… as we walk in faith and obedience like Mary. So, do you know??

“Mary, Did You Know” by Pentatonix

Mary, did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you’ve delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will calm the storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little baby, you kiss the face of God.

Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know?..
Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know?..

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb!

Mary, did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven’s perfect Lamb?
That sleeping child you’re holding is the great I Am.

Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know?..
Mary, did you know?

  1. If not Nancy Krebs, who else would do better!! I have the same feeling too especially when I listen to “eyes”, a song by Nancy about a sentenced Nazarene, and “simple gifts”, a perfect Christmas song
