Facing those who hurt you…
is not easy to do…
especially with children involved…
then comes grandchildren too.
For our natural instinct…
is to want to keep them away…
to protect children and grandchildren…
from the abuses experienced each day.
But our children grow up…
and as adults they can decide…
and all we can do is be still…
praying for God to protect and guide.
For the abuses are still evident…
with alcoholism still seen…
so I pray for the cycle to be broken…
and toward righteousness our families will lean.

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16
Dear Lord, You know the struggles that so many of us have faced. You know how difficult it is to face those who have abused us and hurt us so deeply. But Your Word says that the prayers of the righteous availeth much. We continue to pray for our children and now grandchildren and ask You to protect and provide for them. That You will draw a line of demarcation that they will know when to speak out against abuses so that the cycle will not be passed down to their children… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Thanks for the reblog.
Those who are able to “face those who hurt them,”….have my eternal respect.
I can face them…but I will never forgive them.
Forgiveness is not easy. Facing abusers is not easy either. But I still pray for God to give boldness to those who need it and bring healing to all those broken.

This is one of my favorite songs by Hillsong. I actually heard it last two weeks as I watched Hillsong live on Youtube. It was a blessed. I attend Hillsong Church and it has been a blessing. I enjoyed reading your post. God bless you 🙂
Thank you so much Queen Karen.I love Hillsong’s music! I can only imagine how awesome it would be to attend that church.
Oh it’s amazing. A lot of people see it as a concert when they first attend but I think it isn’t. I hope one day that you will be able to attend. God bless you. Take care 🙂
Blessing to you too, my sister. I hope that I will be there one day.
