Inspirational Song For Today: He Ain’t the Leaving Kind

My son played this song for me this past weekend, and I want to share it with all of you. He was reminding me of our struggles over the years as I tried to raise 3 children alone… and reminding me that I was never really alone. Now so many of you have struggled to raise children alone for various reasons. Many have cried tears of brokenness and suffered through feelings of loneliness and/or rejection.  Many have suffered through the abuses of domestic violence and fled for safety in other areas. Many have suffered loss through death of a spouse or through adultery with death of a marriage. But whatever the reason, whatever the cause that we may feel alone and have tried to raise our children alone, we are never really alone. God is always with us. He will never leave us or forsake us…  for He ain’t the leavin’ kind, and He will never walk away.

“He Ain’t The Leavin’ Kind”

They tried their best to drag him out
Of a courthouse down in Montgomery
And now they wanna kick him out of school
And take him off our money
They can take those words off of paper and stone
But he ain’t gone, no

[Chorus:]
He ain’t the leavin’ kind
He’d never walk away
Even from those who don’t believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain’t the leavin’ kind

She stayed mad at him for a lot of years
For takin’ her husband
Started losin’ her faith
And thinkin’ that her life meant nothin’
But when she looks at those kids she raised all by herself
She knows she had some help, yeah she knows

[Chorus]

No matter what you do
No matter where you go
He’s always right there with you

Even from those who don’t believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain’t the leavin’ kind

No, no
He ain’t the leavin’, he ain’t the leavin’ kind
He ain’t the leavin’ kind
He ain’t the leavin’ kind
