Discerning Voices– Of Abuses in Our Past

Discerning voices…
of abuses in our pasts…
for the wounds inflicted…
cause negative thoughts that lasts.
And these thoughts can pop up…
when awake or with dreams…
but we need to discern the feelings…
with which direction it leans.
Does it bring us comfort…
or is there turmoil it brings?
Does it encourage or inspire us…
or is it a word that just stings?
How does it make you feel…
or how did it come across…
for God empowers and enlightens…
but Satan make us feel at a loss.
Now I write this today…
after bad dreams about my ex…
with abusive words repeated…
that I thought were put to rest.
And I realize there are wounds…
that still need to be healed…
and it’s through thoughts or dreams…
that deep seeded wounds are revealed.
So Lord, please heal us all now…
from the deep wounds of our pasts…
and give us all discernment…
to recognize Satan’s evil masks.
For he still comes everyday…
to steal, kill, and destroy…
and he uses many people today…
like they’re his own evil toy.
For if he can bring discouragement…
or make us feel deserving of less…
then he has accomplished his mission…
cause God wants us to have the best.
So don’t listen to negative words…
which are all part of Satan’s ploy…
and just listen to the positive…
for God wants us happy and full of joy.
And realize this fact…
that many “Christians” are even being used…
not realizing the enemies tactics…
to cause them to hurt and abuse.
For you can believe in God…
but not have the fruits of His Spirit…
but unfortunately those who abuse…
just really don’t want to hear it.
For you can’t bring correction…
to one who thinks they are never wrong.
And there are many abusers out there…
who in this category they belong.

Galatians 5:16-23

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. 18 But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
