Living With Blindfolds

Image result for walking in the spirit blindfolded

Living with blindfolds…
is what most people do…
believing lies and deception…
that have twisted what’s true.
For when we’re blind to the truth…
we will then defend the lies…
thinking we’re doing right…
but believing what’s been disguised.
For the robber with the mask…
comes to destroy and steal…
but only when the mask is off…
that his true identity’srevealed.
So do you know what’s true…
are you living with a blindfold…
for only when light shines in…
will the truth finally be told.
Now are you defending lies…
that’s been twisted for you to believe?
Just ask God to reveal Truth…
and open your heart to receive.
For His Holy Spirit…
is our Counselor and Friend…
and He will bring revelation…
so only His truth you will defend.
For removing blindfolds…
and receiving a spiritual mind…
will allow you to see God’s plan…
that those with blindfolds will never find.

  2. Thanks again for an excellent post, I reblogged it.

This is not a new phenomenon of course but in the age of computers and such, there is really no excuse for a “believer” not living daily as a Berean (Acts 17:11). Yet far to many follow the Jews of old, Jeremiah 6:10 ESV “To whom shall I speak and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ears are uncircumcised, they cannot listen; behold, the word of the Lord is to them an object of scorn; they take no pleasure in it.” or those of the modern church Paul warned of 2 Timothy 2:3-4 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” I cannot count the number of times I have heard “my Pastor says or said” and when I ask, great but what does the Word of God say? It is a rarity when I do not get that deer in the headlights look of confusion.

    Have a blessed week.

    • I totally understand. We have to look to God and His Word for Truth. Too many are willing to sit back and receive what other men perceive to be true… but God still has much hidden. Thanks for sharing and commenting. Your support is greatly appreciated!
