Adultery and Divorce: Discarding a Spouse

Discarding a spouse…
like an old worn-out shoe…
happens again and again…
for that’s what some men do.
But it’s not only men…
who commit this sin…
it’s just my perspective…
cause my ex is doing it again.
Now the sins of our fathers…
follow from generation to generation…
so all need to understand…
the wrongs of such fornication.
For marriage is a commitment…
not just a 10 year plan…
to change out your family…
to live with another woman or man.
So it’s very important to know…
that adultery in marriage is wrong…
for we should walk in righteousness…
and pray for marriages that are strong.
Not marriages riddled with deceit…
with lies and manipulations…
for this curse needs to broken…
to protect our future generations.
So let’s pray for our families…
and all our future generations to come…
for it’s only when we choose righteousness…
that our families can truly overcome.

“The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.” Numbers 14:18

    • Amen!! Yes, marriage is a sacred covenant. And I pray that more will come to realize this before marrying the wrong person. It is always a hard lesson to learn.

  2. It’s hard to click the “Like” button for such a tragedy as divorce and adultery. The discarding part is a tragedy as well. I heard once a response to someone contenplating adultery. It went something like: “If he did it to you, he’ll do it to her (the one he’s cheating with).”
