Domestic Violence Awareness: Stalking

Have you ever been stalked..
and constantly living in fear..
looking over your shoulder…
feeling your abuser is near?
For you have seen their anger…
and their violence you have felt…
because they have exploded before…
and the aftermath you’ve been dealt.
And you felt their hidden presence…
then saw the evidence they left behind…
like a “calling card” for a reminder…
that you can’t hide because they will find.
For they watch from a distance…
and repeatedly draw near…
as they lurk around their victims…
instilling more and more fear.

Dear Lord, only You see the multitude of Your children who have been stalked by their abusers. You see the wounds of brokenness that have been inflicted upon them by the abuses they have withstood. You see and even feel the fear that has been implanted in their hearts and souls by these people who continue to abuse and threaten. Deliver these victims from their abusers and expose all those who lurk in the background. Expose the lies and deception that have twisted truth. Bring healing to every wound that has been inflicted. Bring healing to their hearts and souls and deliver them from the fear that plagues them. Give them Peace that surpasses all understanding as You draw them near… in Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
