Domestic Violence Awareness: Intimate Partner Rape

Image result for intimate partner rape

This is just a reminder that just because someone is in an intimate relationship with someone, whether man or woman, it does not mean that sexual abuse and rape is OK.  Remember, everyone has the right to say NO!

Intimate partner rape…
is a type that many don’t believe…
for they feel if they’re in a relationship…
then victims deserve what they receive.
But victims of abuse and rape…
never deserve what happens to them…
for no one “deserves” such violence…
and this violence needs to come to an end.
For no relationship should be violent…
but filled with kindness and compassion…
so if you see warning signs of abuse…
this is not true love and it’s passion.
For abuse and rape is not love…
no matter what anyone feels…
and the wounds that occur are deep…
which only God can totally heal.

Dear Lord, only You know the multitude who have been abused, sexually assaulted, and raped while in an intimate relationship with someone. Now we repent for the sexual immorality that is rampant but we ask You to protect all the innocent victims of such abuses and rapes. You know what lies within each heart. We ask You to forgive us for our sins, protect us from this evil, and deliver us from the immorality that plagues this nation. Bring total healing and restoration to all… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

  2. Thank you for speaking out against rape in relationships. Too many people still think this is okay. Thank you for clearly saying that rape in intimate relationships happens too often and it is wrong. Too many women suffer the violence, and humiliation of this form of domestic violence. Blessings on the workd you do. Roland❤

    • Thanks Roland! I appreciate the encouraging words. And yes, too many people think that this intimate partner rape is acceptable but it is not. I have experienced this and can tell you that it is devastating to it’s victims. Thanks again and God bless you!

      • I will continue to speak out on domestic violence. It is still far too common in both our countries. I will also continue to encourage you in your work through your blog by sharing it with others. With persistance and education we can change the attitudes that allow this violence to be perpetuated. Sending you apprecation and gratitude for your courageous work. Roland☺💟

      • Thanks again for the encouraging words and helping to spread awareness. We will continue to pray for God’s hand of protection over every victim and that each will be rescued just as he rescued me. Many blessings to you, my friend!
