Domestic Violence Awareness: Human Trafficking

Human trafficking…
is a problem that continues to grow…
but a part of the problem is that…
the extent of this tragedy most don’t know.
For many see pretty young girls…
prostituting on the street…
then immediately think it’s their choice…
not realizing they’re drugged and beat.
For sex trafficking rings…
trap these victims without a choice…
forcing them to perform sex acts…
with no way out and no voice.
And then there are those who are sold…
even by their own family…
many not realizing the lies they are told…
and sending their children into slavery.
For forced labor is happening…
with many forced to work almost “non-stop”…
with little or no pay…
in various business like a “sweat-shop”.
And children are kidnapped each day…
and forced into prostitution and porn…
to be sexually abused and exploited…
which is not the purpose they were born.
Then there’s trafficking for organs…
with a high price put on body parts…
sold to the highest bidder…
whether livers, kidneys, or hearts.
Now all of these forms of trafficking…
come with a life of violence…
so we can’t keep closing our eyes…
and choosing to remain in silence.
For many lives are in danger…
maybe even someone in our own family…
so let us pray for all victims…
to be rescued from this tragedy.
That all victims will be set free…
and every trafficker will be revealed…
so all trafficking rings will be broken…
and every wound of abuse will be healed.

  2. This is truly touching, I very much appreciate the way that your writing appeals to emotions. Sometimes the heart needs to feel and understand the suffering of others in ways that the mind could never do.

I recently wrote a blog post about human trafficking as well and I would love to connect. I linked it down below if you are interested in checking it out or following each other.

    • Thanks for finding me and for your encouraging words. You are so right… “sometimes the heart needs to feel and understand the suffering of others.” Until the heart feels it, our minds can’t get it. Hope you don’t mind that I reblogged your posting to bring more attention to Human Trafficking. God bless you!!!
