This is for the many who still harbor unforgiveness in their heart. Remember, unforgiveness hurts ourselves more than the ones who have hurt us. We have to give them to God and allow Him to deal with them and their own words, thoughts, and deeds.
“Unforgiveness”…
is like a bitter pill…
and though you try to wash it down…
the taste is of “bitterness” still.
For unforgiveness and bitterness…
are like poisons to our soul…
that just keep eating away…
making hole after hole.
And unforgiveness and bitterness hurt…
but mostly it hurts ourselves…
for it eventually becomes an idol…
like trophies of anger on shelves.
But when we release our pain…
and allow forgiveness to come…
then the bitterness will resolve…
to become whole and overcome.
For letting go of bitterness…
and finally choosing to forgive…
is the best thing we can do…
like a gift to ourselves we give.
So let’s release all negative feelings…
and choose to give God all things…
for when we release all to Him…
just watch and see the blessings He brings.

Dear Lord, Only You see the multitude who harbor unforgiveness and bitterness along with other negative feelings like anger. And only You can see the wounds that have been inflicted upon them. We pray that You will deliver all from the wounds of their past and help them to release all bitterness and unforgiveness. Help them to see through Your eyes and to forgive those who have hurt them. Bring total healing and restoration to all… in Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
