Abusers…

Abusers…
were once victims too…
for they lived with abuse…
so negativity is nothing new.
For when you never hear positive…
and all you do is wrong each day…
then you accept this defeat…
and treat others the same old way.
And when you are physically abused…
or even sexually abused too…
then this can be passed on…
to the next generation or two.
For all that we learn from family…
is acceptable behaviors in our mind…
for victims can become abusers…
and that’s exactly what many find.
So lets treat all with kindness…
and with compassion and respect…
for as we chose to change our ways…
these positive behaviors we can expect.
For the cycle of abuse…
can stop with a single thought…
that we will chose to be kind…
and positive attitudes will be sought.
That we will hold captive…
every thought that tries to pull us down…
and replace that thought with Christ…
where Love, goodness, and kindness can be found.

Dear Lord, only You know the multitude who have been victims of abuse in their lives. And only You know the multitude who have gone from victims to abusers as well. We declare that the cycle of abuse must be broken in these lives. That the soul-ties or strongholds of abuse are severed. We pray for total healing and restoration for all victims as well as abusers. That all the enemy tried to kill, steal, and destroy will be redeemed in their lives. That every negative or angry thought will be cast down and replaced with thoughts of You Lord which are lovely, holy, kind, and all good. And we thank You Lord that only You can transform these lives to walk in the fullness upon which you have called them all… in Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
