The Silent Treatment

The silent treatment…
is what many do today…
when they’re mad with others…
and choose not a word to say.
For this passive-aggressiveness…
is like a cyclic trip…
like going 60 to nothing…
then doing another flip.
And it’s a form of abuse…
that so many people endure…
for they take it for granted…
having had the silent treatment before.
But this maltreatment needs to stop…
so no longer tolerate this childish way…
for we all deserve better treatment…
and for this abuse to stop we pray.
