We are Poems Up in Heaven

As I think of the Lord and spending time with Him, I remember this poem that He gave me several years ago and want to share again. In fact, it’s playing like a song in my head right now. We all need to remember… We are “Poems up in Heaven.”

“Poems up in heaven”…
that’s what we are.
Beautifully written…
like a big shining star.
With plans for each life…
from beginning to end…
released to this earth…
then back to heaven again.

Source of Inspiration

Lost job, broken marriage
repossed house, death of a loved one,
life’s calamidies can shake
us to the core.

A forest fire sweeps across,
burning all in its path,
leaving blackened stubs
pointing accusing fingers to the sky,
charred corpses, and ashes.

Then comes a gentle rain,
Mother Earth’s tears
to wash away our pain.
A tiny blade of grass pushes
up through the debris,
then another, and a flower
born where we thought
no life could exist.
With time, the floresta is renewed.

And so it is with our lives;
so often a seeming disaster
can sow seeds of change
in our lives creating opportunity
that we may have resisted, or
had been afraid to seize.

Stand firm with faith and courage
knowing that life is a spiral
of opportunity to grow,
each turn opening us to who
we are and who we
are destined to become.

Hey guys! As some of you may know, January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Known as the modern day slavery, human trafficking is the fastest growing organized crime present day.

Simply put, human trafficking is the exploitation of human beings as a means of gaining profit. The victims are manipulated through use of violence, intimidation, debt, threats, blackmail, deception, and more. Human trafficking manifests itself in a variety of different ways, the most common being the sex and labor trades.

TRUTH!! I pray that eyes will be opened and we can all walk into the fullness of God’s plan for us!!

Caged No More

Father God,

Tonight I’m crying out on behalf of everyone in the world who is hurting. Everyone who has no idea of how precious they really are in your sight. For the dear souls that Jesus bought back with His Precious Blood on The Cross at Calvary, who have no idea that they are made in The Image of The LORD God Almighty.  Lord, it is written in Your Holy Word,

Psalm 51:17    The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Psalm 34:18   The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

God, we come to you brokenhearted tonight and just lay it all on the Altar. You have shown me today God that there is a pain so heavy we cannot bear it…

My Insecurities Make Me Feel Not Good Enough

Eternal Hope Christian Counseling and Coaching

I want you to take a moment for self-reflection.  Take a moment and dig deep into your most inner self and consider how many times that you are really unkind to yourself, relentlessly comparing yourself to others.  Consider that in spite of how many times that you have heard you are loved you are convinced that that is not possible.  That somehow you just don’t meet the criteria to be loved by anyone.  We find our inner thoughts searching for evidence that we don’t stack up, that we are not living to our full potential, that we are just “not good enough.”

  • I am not good enough
  • I am not kind enough
  • I am not loving enough
  • I am the worst mom ever
  • I am the worst friend ever
  • I am the worst sibling ever
  • I am the worst child ever
  • Nobody could possibly like me…
