Inspirational Song and A Message For Victims of Abuse: Touch The Sky

This song touched my heart this weekend and I want to share it with you today. I experienced this emotional moment with my children as I thanked God for what He has done for us and listened to this song… and I dedicate this song to all other victims of abuse.

As I was looking up at the clear sky
with the moon and stars glowing in their place,
this beautiful song started to play
and the tears began to flow down my face.
For I was at that very moment
thanking God for what He has done
for my children and I have been rescued

Burdens, Burdens, Burdens…

This is for the many who seemingly carry the weight of the world on their shoulders from the various abuses. Most of us have a tendency to try to please others but we can not carry the blame for the things that they do wrong. We can’t fix them or their situations. Only God can.  We just have to trust Him and lay those burdens down at His Feet.

Burdens, burdens, burdens…
that so many of us carry.
Trying to please others…
like parents or the ones we marry.
For we carry the burdens…
like the weight of the world…
trying to make everyone happy…
as the others emotions swirl.
For many of us get blamed…
when abusive people get angry…
and we assume the guilt…
