Inspirational Song For Today: Friend of a Wounded Heart

There are so many wounded hearts out there who feel that they don’t have a friend to talk to or spend time with. I can tell you that many of us have felt isolated and totally alone in this world. But it is in our brokenness and loneliness with no one to confide in and be friends with that we finally find that we have a “Friend” in Jesus. You see, it is a relationship that He wants with each of us. Not just a “weekend visitation”. Continue reading

Broken Man

For October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we have written about the brokenness that so many women experience as we suffer the abuses of this world. But I just want to remind everyone that men can be victims of abuse also. There are many “broken men” out there as well as “broken girls.” I pray for healing and restoration for all who have suffered brokenness from the wounds of abuse. Continue reading

Drug Abuse: Abuse and It’s Wounds Lead Many Down Wrong Paths

As we begin another week of October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I want to talk about the wounds that cause so many of us to make wrong decisions in our lives. Many innocent victims seek love and find themselves in relationships with someone who abuses drugs… then get forced into taking the drugs also to “please” their significant other. And many youth today are making wrong choices to fit in or be included in groups because of rejection and abuse with bullying and peer pressure… including taking drugs. Unfortunately, many of these that agree to “try it one time” may be the last time because of the catastrophic effects of “MoJo”  or their “one time” may lead to a life-long addiction because of the addictive effects of some drugs like meth. Doing some of these drugs is like playing “Russian Roulette” with lives… with catastrophic effects and more wounds to its victims. Continue reading

Bullying… Another Abuse That We Find (Luke 6:45)

As we continue to bring awareness to the various abuses this month, I want to remind you that too many have accepted “bullying” as part of life in schools and workplaces. Bullying is aggressive behavior against one perceived to be weaker. These bullies strategically target their victims to display their emotional or physical dominance over those perceived to be of lessor stature, physique, mentality, or social standing. So many have accepted this bullying as a normal part of society… but it is wrong and it is abuse!

Bullying…
another abuse that we find…
for it’s derived from wounds…
with abusive anger left behind.
For many learn this behavior…
from the words that tear them down…
and they project it onto others…
where in bullying it is found. Continue reading

VERBAL ABUSE: The “WEAPON OF CHOICE”

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I will continue to reiterate the significance of verbal abuse. Too many people still do not realize the destructive force of words. They feel that if there are no bruises, then it was not abuse. Oh… they are so wrong!!

As I watched this video below…
tears filled my eye.
Feeling the pain of this abuse…
again just made me cry.
For these children chose…
the words of abuses felt…
and for this primary reason…
my heart just started to melt. Continue reading

A Mother’s Plea… Against Teen Sex

Image result for abstain from teen sex

As the mother of a daughter…
and several sons too.
I come to you with a plea…
to realize what the world will do.
For sexual immorality…
is encouraged in the world today.
And our children are pressured…
and against this we need to pray.
For “Teen sex” is encouraged…
as many say “boys will be boys”.
But so many youth become broken…
with young girls treated like toys. Continue reading

Abuse Happens Often

This is for the many who have suffered abuse at the hands of others. Abusers never admit that they abuse… but their victims know the truth!

Abuse happens often…
but not so easy to see.
For it’s hidden behind doors…
while inflicted upon family.
With yelling, screaming…
threats and more…
Victims are badgered…
while behind closed doors.
But when the door opens…
and others come in…
the smiles get painted…
and attacks suddenly end. Continue reading
